GoGet Car Share – Convenience without the Commitment

‘GoGet’ Car Share is designed for people who occasionally need the convenience of a vehicle, without the commitment of actually owning one. Australia's first and largest national car sharing network, which provides flexibility for those times when you need a car for just a couple of hours, or maybe an odd day here and there.

If you think you are too small to make a difference, try going to bed with a mosquito in the room.

Anita Rodick

Australia’s first and largest national car sharing network, which provides flexibility for those times when you need a car for just a couple of hours, or maybe an odd day here and there.

How cool is that!

Each GoGet car is shared with approximately 23 members and the Company estimates that nine private cars are taken off the road with each vehicle added to their fleet. This plays a massive role in reducing the amount of congestion on our roads and has reported having freed up 55 kilometres of car parking space across Australia.

Christmas Fun in the UK: 3 Experiences the Whole Family will Enjoy

Here are three experiences in the United Kingdom (UK) which our whole family enjoyed (including my Mum) and our children still reminisce about today. Is it too early to start talking about Christmas holidays?

All the world is made of Faith and Trust and Pixie Dust

Peter Pan

Here are three experiences in the United Kingdom (UK) which our whole family enjoyed (including my Mum) and our children still reminisce about today. Is it too early to start talking about Christmas holidays  ❄️ 🌲 ✨ ?

Ahhh, the art of family travel over Christmas – coordinating family visits and festive traditions while balancing activities to suit everyone’s age, interests and patience levels. There really is no shortage of educational, unique and fun adventures to enjoy in the UK, the trick, we have learnt, is not to try to do it all in one visit!

Boy, were our suitcases relieved when the Grandparents embraced our ‘Less Stuff/More Experiences’ ethos and organised e-tickets to these family friendly activities.

3 UK Experiences the Whole Family will Enjoy

When was the last time you roared with laughter till your cheeks hurt or were transported back to a time when you spent hours creating, playing and having fun in a scene plucked straight from your wildest imagination?

When did you last set yourself loose in the great outdoors, free to roam and explore perhaps a rugged and wild countryside with child-like wonder?

Allow me to transport you to the UK…

Family Road Trip to the Margaret River Region of Western Australia

The Margaret River Region in Western Australia has got it all - historic train rides, world famous wineries, spectacular coastlines which stretch for miles and ancient caves. Visit the most South-Westerly point of Australia and see the meeting of the oceans before wandering around the welcoming and ever so charming local towns. A family friendly destination definitely worth adding to your 'must do' list when in Australia.

“Don’t be concerned about reaching your destination. Enjoy the journey and the destination will take care of itself.”

unknown

How does this sound – lazy afternoons on the Margaret River wine trail, happily sampling a drop or two chosen by the friendly wine connoisseur at the cellar door, while admiring the spectacular Autumn colours covering the countryside. Followed only by romantic candlelit dinners and evenings snuggled up in front of an open fire, casually sipping a local red bought while exploring the local wineries.

Enough daydreaming about images seen in glossy magazines promoting indulgent and romantic getaways for two. What about when you visit the area with children and it rains off-and-on the whole time – eek…

Don’t panic, I’m all over it!

Here are some activity suggestions which will keep the whole family entertained (regardless of the weather).

“Paris is always a good idea.”

Audrey Hepburn

This article is not only full of wistful Paris imagery but also informative links, useful tips, practical advice and a couple of #hiddengems. The perfect six day itinerary for families travelling to Europe and visiting the French Capital. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine my year of ‘Less Is More’ would include a trip to Paris. The year of Less ‘Stuff’ More ‘Experiences’ is well and truly exceeding my expectations.

Paris still oozes the same classic charm experienced during our first visit as backpackers many years ago. However, just for the record, travelling with a pram is a whole lot different to travelling with a backpack. Can you imagine the nostalgia we experienced returning to Europe, now as parents, with a SEVEN and a THREE-year-old bouncing along beside us – the same amount of adrenalin mixed with a different kind of fun!

Yes, you guessed it, this is a long one – but stay with me and enjoy the conversation
